Today the school dressed as superheroes to raise money for JDRF. This is a charity very close to our hearts and so it means a lot that everyone has come together to help raise funds for this Diabetes charity.
Thanks to the School Council for organising everything from the dress up day to the homework competitions! You are amazing!Â

Happy World Book Day from everyone at KIPS!!
A brilliant effort made by children and staff đ

This time last year Mrs Tweedie had her little boy, and our very own KIPS miracle, baby Euan at 24 weeks. During this time, the charity Tiny Life helped to support Mrs Tweedie and her family.Â
As a thank you, the school arranged for a fundraiser to raise money for the charity.
Both pupils and staff were busy all week having a bun safe, a coffee morning, a raffle and a nerf gun war.
Thanks to this great effort from everyone and the support from our parents and the local community, we raised a total of ÂŁ652.10!
Â
Thank you to David Healy, a Tiny Life ambassador and past Pupil for attending our coffee morning.Â
Thank you also to the Church of Ireland charity shop for their very generous donation!Â
Principal of Killyleagh Integrated Primary and Nursery School Jason Milligan, joined Derek Baker, Permanent Secretary at the DE, to launch the Department of Education official guide, âIntegration Worksâ. Any school in Northern Ireland, except Special Schools or hospital schools, can apply to go through the process, termed âtransformationâ, to develop integrated status.
Killyleagh PS, in County Down, became officially integrated in September 2016. Describing the schoolâs experience of the process, Jason Milligan said
âItâs been well worth it. We have seen the school flourish in the year since transformation and the latest step was opening our new 26-place nursery, so that children can experience integrated education from an early age.â http://bit.ly/2DNX8PC
Last year, children in the local area were asked to design a stained glass window for the new St John's Church Hall. Our very own Cristiano won the competition with his beautiful design that has now been made by an artist into a stained glass window.
Well done Cristiano!
