• International Peace Day

  Today we celebrated International Peace Day by having a day in support of Ukraine and our Ukrainian families 💙💛 This morning started with a Ukrainian dance lesson from a Ukrainian dancer!  We wore blue and yellow to represent Ukraine. Across the school the children took part in lots of different peace activities including a collaborative piece of artwork 💙💛 #bettertogether #ief

  

• Shared Education Roald Dahl Day

  The children had great day at the Bridge Centre Killyleagh with St Mary’s PS celebrating Roald Dahl Day as part of our #SharedEducation celebration. They enjoyed a host of Roald Dahl based activities including chocolate treats from Aunt Sandra's Handmade Candy. We would like to take this opportunity to thank SPAR NI for donating snacks, treats and drinks for all the children and KillyleaghBox for their kind contributions.

  Not only is it World Book Day but this year is also the 25th anniversary of the first Harry Potter Book! Today our school looked a lot like Hogwarts rather than KIPS ⚡️✨ #bettertogether #mischiefmanaged

• World Diabetes Day and Children in Need

  On Friday 13th November, KIPS held a fundraiser to raise some much needed money for both Diabetes UK and BBC Children in Need. The school community, along with the help of the local community, raised an amazing £447 for Diabetes UK and £127 for Children in Need. 
  We would like to extend our thanks to everyone who donated to these fantastic charities and who took part in our awareness campaign #bettertogether
