On Friday 13th November, KIPS held a fundraiser to raise some much needed money for both Diabetes UK and BBC Children in Need. The school community, along with the help of the local community, raised an amazing £447 for Diabetes UK and £127 for Children in Need.
We would like to extend our thanks to everyone who donated to these fantastic charities and who took part in our awareness campaign #bettertogether
Today our kids got the chance to let out some of that lockdown frustration and throw cream at our wonderful classroom assistants, Miss McMaster and Mrs Gurr, all for a good cause, World Diabetes Day, Diabetes UK. Thank you to Spar, Catherine Street, for making this possible and very kindly donating the cream 😄 #bettertogether #WorldDiabetesDay
This World Diabetes Day we asked for some help in promoting the importance of diabetes awareness! We are so pleased to show that the Killyleagh community stands united to see a world where diabetes can do no harm 💙 A big thank you to St John’s Parish Charity Shop and William Walker for their very generous donations.
